School Counselor

our school at MVM Educational Campus which comprises B.G.P.S Primary School and Swami Muktananda High School have a full time professional counselor, Ms. Simonah Monteiro who offers counseling and guidance to students, parents, and staff.

The mission of student counseling is to help every student at our campus realize their potential, not only in academics but also in their overall development as human beings, The counselor also works to ensure that every student is well equipped psychologically so that they can move towards their goals by making informed decisions, as they move through different stages of education and out into the world.

Counseling sessions with students are done individually, in a group, or through informative and interactive class sessions. Individual counseling sessions are taken with students who are referred to the counselor by the staff on campus for personal, social, educational, and career guidance. Group sessions foster interactions and help build peer support for the children, while class sessions help reduce the stigma of talking about mental health and its related issues.

The counselor always works in collaboration and follows up with the student, parent, and staff so that the best possible outcomes can be achieved with the child.
