The Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali (MVM) was established in the year 1902. It has completed 118 glorious years of Academic, Socio-Economic and Cultural Excellence.
The MVM has been awarded the Karnataka Rajyotsava Prashasti for 2012 by Karnataka State Government.
The Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali (MVM) has consistently expanded its educational initiatives with a vision to provide inclusive and quality education across all levels.
The journey began with the establishment of a Free Night School in 1908, followed by a Kannada Primary Day School for Girls in 1930, reflecting the Mandali’s early commitment to accessible education and women’s empowerment. In 1970, the foundation of the MVM Educational Campus was laid with the introduction of the English-medium Swami Muktananda High School. Since then, the institution has witnessed continuous growth and today caters to approximately 2,500 students.
MVM Junior College of Commerce, an integral part of the campus, marked a significant milestone with the introduction of its first undergraduate programme in the Commerce stream in the academic year 2008–2009. Further strengthening its infrastructure, a new college building was inaugurated in 2013, which currently houses the Degree College affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
The School Section and Junior College have been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET), a constituent of the Quality Council of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, recognizing the institution’s commitment to quality standards in education.
In its pursuit of expanding higher education opportunities, MVM established M.V. Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science in the academic year 2010–2011, initially offering Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT), affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The institution continued to grow with the introduction of additional programmes, including Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance (B.A.F.) in 2013–2014 and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in 2016–2017.
In the academic year 2021–2022, the institution achieved another significant milestone with the approval from the University of Mumbai to introduce new programmes—B.Com. (Actuarial Studies) and M.Com. (Advanced Accountancy). With these additions, the institution realized its long-cherished vision of offering comprehensive education from “Kindergarten to Postgraduate” (KG to PG) under one campus.
M.V. Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) an autonomous body responsible for assessing and accrediting higher education institutions in India with “ B+” grade for the second cycle in the year 2025.
The campus also has the facilities for indoor games as well as outdoor games. For Indoor games the campus provides gymkhana for table tennis, chess, carrom and badminton and for the outdoor games campus provides dodge ball, basketball, pickle ball, cricket and football.
Today, the MVM Educational Campus stands as one of the most esteemed educational institutions in the Andheri vicinity, known for its academic excellence, holistic development, and enduring commitment to educational advancement.
The previous year has been packed with guest lecture series, seminars, and workshops. intercollegiate and intra collegiate events. There is also a thrust on social responsibility in the college with students being encouraged to participate actively in social work and build sensitivities to the world outside their college which is not as privileged. Our NSS and DLLE students have been actively involved in many social awareness campaigns throughout the year.

- MVM in its endeavour to provide for graduate programmes commenced the M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science from the academic year 2010-2011 with Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.IT), affiliated to University of Mumbai.
- M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science made expansion by commencing two new courses, Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance (B.A.F.) in the Academic year 2013-14 and Bachelor of Commerce-(B.Com.) in the Academic year 2016-17, affiliated to University of Mumbai.
- In the year 2021-22 M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science has been successful in getting approval from the University of Mumbai to start New Programme – B.Com. (Actuarial Studies) and M.Com. (Advanced Accountancy) . With this, we have fulfilled our long cherished dream of campus offering “KG to PG”.
