The Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali (MVM) was established in the year 1902. It has completed 118 glorious years of Academic, Socio-Economic and Cultural Excellence.
The MVM has been awarded the Karnataka Rajyotsava Prashasti for 2012 by Karnataka State Government.
Mogaveera Vyavasthapaka Mandali initiated MVM Degree College of Commerce and Science (B.M.S.), Bachelor of in the Academic Year 2010-2011. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The college offers various courses like Bachelor of Management Studies Commerce (B.COM.), Bachelor of Commerce- Accounting & Finance (B.A.F.), Bachelor of Science – Information Technology (B.Sc.IT.), Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Studies (B.A.S.) and Masters of Commerce in Accountancy (M.COM.). The education facilities are open to all communities. During a short period, the college has acquired a good reputation, campus discipline, and high academic standards. The college has excellent infrastructure with spacious Classrooms, I.T. Rooms, Library, Auditorium, Conference Room, Playground, Canteen Facilities, etc. Along with providing quality education to their students, the college also ensures that students are offered opportunities to excel in extra-curricular fields like sports, and cultural activities and also in co-curricular fields like NSS (National Service Scheme), DLLE (Department of Life Long Learning & Extension) and WDC (Women Development Cell). In addition to co-curricular and extra-curricular activities offered in this college, each student is offered a platform to display his or her varied skill sets and dormant talents. These programs, academic and otherwise, nurture qualities such as leadership, discipline, organizational capability, and managing skills.
Achievements and Initiatives of MVM Educational Campus
- Free Night School in the year 1908.
- Kannada Primary Day School for Girls in 1930.
- MVM Educational Campus in 1970 with the English Medium Swami Muktananda High and since then has never looked back. The Campus presently has around 2500 students on its roll.
- MVM Junior College of Commerce is part of the MVM Educational Campus. The first undergraduate programme under the Commerce stream commenced from the academic year 2008-2009.
- Our New College Building inaugurated in 2013, now houses the Degree College, affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
- The School section and Junior College has been awarded NABET accreditation by the Quality Council of India ( QCI ) under the HRD, Government of India.
- MVM in its endeavour to provide for graduate programmes commenced the Degree College of Commerce and Science from the academic year 2010-2011 with Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.IT), affiliated to University of Mumbai.
- M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce and Science made expansion by commencing two new courses, Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance (B.A.F.) in the Academic year 2013-14 and Bachelor of Commerce-(B.Com.) in the Academic year 2016-17, affiliated to University of Mumbai.
- In the year 2021-22 M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce and Science has been successful in getting approval from the University of Mumbai to start New Programme – B.Com. (Actuarial Studies) and M.Com. (Advanced Accountancy) . With this, we have fulfilled our long cherished dream of campus offering “KG to PG”.
