SUMMARY:OLD AGE HOME VISIT BY ROTARACT CLUB
DESCRIPTION:Rotary club of M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science has organized a visit to the “Jeevan Aasha” old age house on 1st July 2018\, which is located in Amboli\, Andheri West. \nThe visit was arranged by Rtn. Varsha Baradia\, President\, RC Juhu\, and her team. Rotaractors of M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science participated as volunteers. Many items like food\, clothes\, and other daily life requirements were distributed among members of the old age homes. \nRtn. Varsha Baradia addressed Rotaractors and explained then the importance of such kind of donations to underprivileged people. Rotaractors also took the initiative to entertain old people and bring smiles to their faces. All\, old ladies and gentlemen of Jeevan Aasha accompanied Rotaractors with many songs to sing and dance. \nWhile visiting this old age house Rotaractors learned a lot from them. In spite of the struggle and hardship in their life\, these people know how to live happily in any situation. Old ladies and gentlemen are Rockstars of the Jeevan Aasha house\, they are very talented people. \nThe best thing which Rotaractors achieved was the blessings of these old people\, as they said: ” Jeevan Aasha House Blessings are always with you all”.

SUMMARY:Orientation of DLLE 2018-19
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension is established in M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science in the academic year  2015- 16. To facilitate the sensitization of the students to the socio-cultural realities\, the department offers students\, extension work projects encompassing social issues. The student is awarded 10 additional marks at the final exam for a project on completion of 120 hours of work and the submission of a project report which are undertaken by degree college students. \nThe DLLE offers flexible continuing education opportunities for the students. As a well-founded academic Department of the University of Mumbai\, the Department is committed both to the highest standards of excellence\, and also provides an opportunity to interested learners. The main aim of extension education is for the development of the students academically and practically. \nDepartment of Life Long Learning and Extension (DLLE) unit of MVM Degree College has organized an orientation program for SY and TY students of BMS / BAF / BCom and BScIT on 18th July 2018 from 12 noon onwards at MVM Degree College\, 3rd Floor\, Room No. 303. The objective of the orientation program was to make students aware of the registration process\, and selection of student managers\, to inform them about all activities planned for the academic year 2018-19\, and to inform them about a tentative schedule of activities that the DLLE unit intends to undertake in the current academic year 2018-19. \nThe orientation program was conducted by Extension Work Teachers – Asst Prof. Anita Chaudhary and Asst. Prof. Darshan Pagar. The students were briefed about how beneficial it is to be a part of the DLLE unit to inculcate much-needed awareness in students. Students were very motivated to enroll in this department as they are to take up the projects which give them exposure to the world outside four walls.

SUMMARY:INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2018
DESCRIPTION:M V Mandali’s Colleges of Commerce & Science celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21st June 2018 on the college campus from 9.00 am onwards. The event was convened by our Hon. Principal Dr. Gopal Kalkoti\, Ms. Khushboo (Yoga Trainee and Member of Goregaon Sports Club)\, and Mr. Shailesh Patil (Sports in charge). \nThe guest of honor for the day was Mr. Prashant Thingalaya\, Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee from management.  Participants included students\, and teaching & non-teaching staff. The Principal along with the yoga trainees demonstrated various Asanas\, explaining their benefits like flexibility\, better strength & immunity for body\, mind\, and soul. Active participation of the Principal and teachers made the event lively\, which made students & participants more interested and enthusiastic in performing the various Asanas. \nThe Yoga Day celebration concluded with felicitation and a vote of thanks given by the Vice Principal &  Coordinator\, Ms. Seema Rawat. All departed fresh & reenergized understanding that Yoga is a way of life towards mental\, physical\, and emotional well-being.

SUMMARY:Guru Purnima Celebration 2018
DESCRIPTION:Students Council of MVM Degree College celebrated Guru Purnima on 27th July\,2018 at  3rd Floor AV room from 11.30 am onwards. Event started with prayer song dedicated to all gurus by students council members. After that all students council members presented one group song with guitar and music. Student council members presented PPT and spoke about their favorite teachers and expressed their love\, affection and feelings for their teachers. On this occasion\, Principal Dr. Gopal Kalkoti also presented a PPT focusing on Guru- Shishya bonding\, and moral values behind this relationship. \nStudent’s council also organized games\, dance and many fun activities for their teachers. They also presented flowers and gifts to their teachers as a token of love and appreciation. Student’s council members put all their efforts to make this day memorable for their teachers\, they were able to achieve. It was a day full of fun\, happiness and unexpected surprises for all teachers from their students. \nAll teachers appreciated the efforts of students council members and program ended with vote of thanks by Principal and Vice Principal to all student’s council members for organizing this event.
